Lady Sabine is harboring a skin blemish, one, that if revealed, could cause her to be branded as a witch, put her life in danger, and damage her chances of making a good marriage. After all, what nobleman would want to marry a woman so flawed?
Sir Bennet is returning home to protect his family from an imminent attack by neighboring lords who seek repayment of debts. Without fortune or means to pay those debts, Sir Bennet realizes his only option is to make a marriage match with a wealthy noblewoman. As a man of honor, he loathes the idea of courting a woman for her money, but with time running out for his family’s safety, what other choice does he have?
As Lady Sabine and Sir Bennet are thrust together under dangerous circumstances, will they both be able to learn to trust each other enough to share their deepest secrets? Or will those secrets ultimately lead to their demise?
Who would have thought that I would be reviewing this book a month before it is even published? Definitely not me! I thought that I would have to wait until after March 7, the release date, to read this book.
Anyway, I really liked this book. It was a very nice story for Sir Bennet. Frankly, he wasn’t my favorite knight out of the three knights, Derrick, Collin, and Bennet, but I really liked him in this story. I really ‘got to know’ him, if you know what I mean. I am sad for this series to end, though. I enjoyed all three of the An Uncertain Choice books.
I finished this book very quickly. It flowed smoothly, and it intrigued me a lot. The plot was really creative. I have never read a book that had a plot like this. It was cool.
I really like the cover. I would definitely give it 5 stars. I really like the dress and the fact that she has gloves on, like she did in the book itself. The background was also cool. It is kind of what I pictured some of the rooms in Bennet’s castle to look like.
I also liked the book—a lot. You should totally read this book, when it comes out. It is worth it all the way! Actually, if you are able to, read the whole An Uncertain Choice series. They are all great books! 5 stars to For Love and Honor by Jody Hedlund.
