Romance Fans Eagerly Anticipate Every New Release from Becky Wade
Gray Fowler, star NFL tight end, is being pursued by a stalker, so his team hires a protection agency to keep Gray under the watch of a bodyguard at all times. When Gray meets Dru Porter, an agent assigned to him, he’s indignant. How can an attractive young female half his size possibly protect him?
But Dru’s a former Marine, an expert markswoman, and a black belt. She’s also ferociously determined to uncover the identity of Gray’s stalker. And she’s just as determined to avoid any kind of romantic attachment between herself and the rugged football player with the mysterious past. But the closer they get to finding the stalker, the closer they grow to each other. As the danger rises, can Dru and Gray entrust their hearts–and their lives–to one another?
Yay! I have finally been able to read this book! And I had to wait forever to get it.
This book did not disappoint. I didn’t want to put it down. I just wanted to keep reading and reading. Dru was an awesome main character. She was super cool. Gray was even cooler. I mean, he is a football player. The biggest thing that I liked about him was that Gray was not the quarterback. He was another player on the team. And, honestly, I am not a football fan so I have no idea what he is.
The whole story was great! I loved it how she had “cameos” of the rest of the Porter characters.
The only thing I didn’t like was the way she added a story about Meg and Bo in this book. It was kind of confusing. I mean, this book is supposed to be about Gray and Dru. Sure, she could have added something about Bo and Meg, just not have half the book about them. I mean, Becky finished their story in the first book about them. So, yeah, that was the biggest downfall.
The cover was good! I liked it. I would probably give it 3 stars.
As for the book, I would also give it 4 stars. It would have gotten five if Becky wouldn’t have added another story about Meg and Bo.
