In the third and final volume of the Remnants series—Seasons of Glory—the power of the Remnants and their people are growing, threatening Pacifica’s careful plans for domination. Among the Trading Union, village after village, outpost after outpost, and city after city are drawn to people of the Way, and agree to stand against those who hunt them. But Pacifica intends to ferret out and annihilate the Remnants—as well as everyone who hasn’t sworn allegiance to the empire—setting the stage for an epic showdown that will change the course of a world on the brink … forever.
By the ways, guys and gals, before I actually write this review, I have to tell you something. This will be the last review I am doing for a while. I will explain more tomorrow.
Now, back to the book at hand. I am very sorry to say that I had to actually work to finish this book. I wasn’t very impressed with it. The reason I am very sad to say that is because I really enjoyed the first two books in this series.
I was very annoyed with Andriana. I am supposed to like the main characters, right? Well, I didn’t. The rest of the Remnants and Knights were awesome, though.
The story also seemed to get a little too long. I wanted it to be over by the time I got halfway into it. It seemed like they fought, they hid, they fought, they hid, and so on. It was much too repetitive to me.
The cover was okay, not exactly my favorite. Every time I picked up the book, it seemed like they were staring into my soul. So, I have to give this cover 3 stars. There should have been something other than just faces on the cover, personally. But I did like the ‘light bubbles’ or whatever you call them.
As for the book, I have to give this book 2 stars as well. I think I had way too high of expectations.
